Welcome to the Digital Media Zone!

The ZONE is a support environment for students enrolled in digital media and Web development courses taught online by faculty of the School of Information Science & Learning Technologies at the University of Missouri. The ZONE, located in The Reflector in Townsend Hall, is staffed by Zone Mentors who help students via discussion boards, e-mail, instant-messaging, telephone, and in-person consultations.

Our courses prepare students to:

  • Design and develop digital media based on Human Center Design, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), and Usability,
  • Build technical capabilities to prototype digital media using different interactive technologies and rapid development tools,
  • Prepare students to learn and teach in digital environments.

Please send all general inquiries and questions to the ZONE to zone@missouri.edu. Email is monitored daily Monday-Friday. Please expect a timely but not instantaneous response. If you are enrolled in a ZONE course please consider posting your question to the discussion board(s) in your online course.
